Proverbs 31:30 Devotion

SCRIPTURE
Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last
    but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised.

OBSERVATION
When looking for a spouse one should not fall for superficial things such as charm and physical beauty. The main thing that someone should look for is the other person's relationship with God. Do they put Him above all else? Do they seek Him daily?

APPLICATION
I have been thinking about marriage lately. There came a point where the number one priority in my wife had to be her faith. There was no compromise on this.

PRAYER
Almighty God,

I have received prophetic words and signs You will be revealing my future wife to me, and that I will be getting married soon. I have waited a long time for this, and often wondered when it would happen. I have to say that I appreciate all these years You kept me single. When I observe other relationships and the struggles that they went through I had to be thankful for not having to deal with the same issues. I knew I was not ready back then, and patiently waited for the time to come. Even if I have to wait a little while longer, I pray for my wife to be a virtuous woman who fears You. I pray for her to be of noble character, and has completely surrendered her life unto You. May I be a worthy husband to her, and love her unconditionally.

Upcoming Battle?

I have been having disturbing dreams lately 😣 I wish I could share what they were, but unfortunately do not remember them 😕 Fortunately I still remember what I dreamt last night, and it was not that disturbing 😌 The dream came across like an anime. At first things were normal, and I was hanging out with my friends. I seemed to be either in high school or college and going through the typical things students deal with. Then suddenly I either fell asleep, or willingly transported myself and my best friend into another place. It was in a spiritual realm and we were in a vast area that had multiple shelves full of books. There was another, more mature, person with us, and he was tasked to be like a guard. The Widow's Offering

Mark 12:41-44 NLT Jesus sat down near the collection box in the Temple and watched as the crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts.   Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins. Jesus called his disciples to him and said,  “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions.   For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.” "For they gave a tiny  part of their surplus ..." How often do we give a tiny part of our surplus to others? Whenever I come across beggars I would like to give them a dollar to be a little generous. But see what I just said there? I said "a little  generous." It is like I am patting myself on the back for giving one dollar out the many dollars I have available.  How often do we do that with God?
