QT/Daily Devotion for 2/2/2021
S: When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

-1 Corinthians 13:11-12
O: Here I think Paul is talking about spiritual maturity. When we are spiritually immature, we act child-like. But when we grow spiritually then we cast aside our immaturity and act like an adult. However, we do not act without blemish. We are unable see the whole picture as God does. Not in this life anyways. We can only perceive things as if we are gazing at ourselves through a cloudy mirror. It is not a complete reflection of what is going on. We only have an idea of what things are like. We need to understand that only God knows everything completely, and will eventually reveal things to us in time.
A: Be humble, and remember that I do not know everything there is to know about situations. Instead, I need to remember that God does know everything and He knows what He is doing. Just trust in Him, His timing, and that He is working all things for good.
P: Almighty God,
Thank Your for Your grace that accepts me for who I am, and all of my faults, failures, and shame. Thank You for not judging me at my worst, but look at me in love and bring out the best in me. May I continue to grow in grace and increase my faith in You more and more. Thank You for reminding me that You are in control, and I just need to trust in You. Forgive me for the times when I did not and tried to do things by my own power. You graciously allowed me to make mistakes so that I can learn from them, and used them to make me stronger! My heart, my life, and my soul are Yours to do as You will. You always know what is best for me. May I continue to believe in that.
Amen
