Proverbs 20 Devotion

SCRIPTURE
Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling.
Those too lazy to plow in the right season will have no food at the harvest.
-verses 3-4

OBSERVATION
People will often argue just to insist that their feelings, or opinions, are right over the other party's. Sometimes the argument is over how lazy the person is! Justifying our unrighteousness is folly. We need to immediately recognize our faults and when we are living apart from Him 🙏 Once we recognize it then we need to repent.

APPLICATION
I need to avoid arguments as much as possible, and avoid giving into laziness!

PRAYER
Almighty God,
    You are the only righteous One in all of existence. How foolish it is of me to think that I am more righteous over everyone else, including You 😔 I need to stop arguing with you. I need to quit being so lazy. I just need to surrender to You, and submit to Your Ways. You know the correct way to do things. You know the right path to go down. You know the wisest decisions to make. You always know what is best, better than I can come up with by myself. LORD, I do not want to keep suffering from my own foolishness. Take control over my life. Not my will but Your Will be done!

Upcoming Battle?

I have been having disturbing dreams lately 😣 I wish I could share what they were, but unfortunately do not remember them 😕 Fortunately I still remember what I dreamt last night, and it was not that disturbing 😌 The dream came across like an anime. At first things were normal, and I was hanging out with my friends. I seemed to be either in high school or college and going through the typical things students deal with. Then suddenly I either fell asleep, or willingly transported myself and my best friend into another place. It was in a spiritual realm and we were in a vast area that had multiple shelves full of books. There was another, more mature, person with us, and he was tasked to be like a guard. The Widow's Offering

Mark 12:41-44 NLT Jesus sat down near the collection box in the Temple and watched as the crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts.   Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins. Jesus called his disciples to him and said,  “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions.   For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.” "For they gave a tiny  part of their surplus ..." How often do we give a tiny part of our surplus to others? Whenever I come across beggars I would like to give them a dollar to be a little generous. But see what I just said there? I said "a little  generous." It is like I am patting myself on the back for giving one dollar out the many dollars I have available.  How often do we do that with God?
