Welcome Back, Mase

I suppose...

I was surprised to see that the artist, Mase, returned to music this past summer. I wasn't a fan, but I did watch a lot of Mtv back then (couldn't watch for more than 5 minutes till one of his videos popped up! AARRGGHH!). Back then, he sounded like a Puffy clone. And today? Nothing changed! Though I did caught a glimpse of his performance on the Tonight Show the other day, and was amazed at how well he could dance. Anyway, the main point about this post is that he hasn't seemed to change at all. Supposedly he became a Christian, and that's why he retired 5 years ago. When I first heard that, I was very skeptical. After listening to him, and reading some of his lyrics, that opinion still remains. I read somewhere, that the lyrics to his latest single "Breath, Stretch, Shake" contained DEEP meaning. Well, he may mention God here and there, but he still seems like the same arrogant rapper obsessed with the cliched stuff that they constantly rap about. I have to wonder how long he'll be able to stick around this time. A lot has changed with the music industry since he "retired." I think he has some success only for nostalgia sake. But that can only carry you so far....

Well, I guess we'll see.

Upcoming Battle?

I have been having disturbing dreams lately 😣 I wish I could share what they were, but unfortunately do not remember them 😕 Fortunately I still remember what I dreamt last night, and it was not that disturbing 😌 The dream came across like an anime. At first things were normal, and I was hanging out with my friends. I seemed to be either in high school or college and going through the typical things students deal with. Then suddenly I either fell asleep, or willingly transported myself and my best friend into another place. It was in a spiritual realm and we were in a vast area that had multiple shelves full of books. There was another, more mature, person with us, and he was tasked to be like a guard. The Widow's Offering

Mark 12:41-44 NLT Jesus sat down near the collection box in the Temple and watched as the crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts.   Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins. Jesus called his disciples to him and said,  “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions.   For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.” "For they gave a tiny  part of their surplus ..." How often do we give a tiny part of our surplus to others? Whenever I come across beggars I would like to give them a dollar to be a little generous. But see what I just said there?
