Roommates can be a pain sometimes
Part 2!
All right, were to begin?...
Well, the apartment itself wasn't so bad. It was a typical two bedroom apartment. There was the living room which I described last post. The kitchen was kind of small, but served its purpose, with a small dining area attached. The big issue would have been the lone bathroom. Can you imagine that??? One bathroom with a shower for FOUR people! But fortunately everybody usually had different schedules, so there weren't any problems.
Anyway, the place was already packed before I moved in, and I couldn't imagine how I was going to fit myself along with my things in there. Now, it was three guys who were living in the place before I moved in. So with me, it would be four guys, and guys are not the cleanest people on the earth, so... See where I'm going with this?
Now I'll admit, I am not the neatest guy around. I'm SURE my mom would agree with me here (and if you can somehow ask her, I'm also sure she'll go on and on and on and on.... how I'm exactly the opposite ;-P). However I do have my limits, and there will come a time where even I'll admit that its ridiculous and I need to clean up. So the first time I saw the place, not only was it packed, but BEYOND the point where I'll start cleaning! GAHH!!!
Man, it was definitely a different experience living with people who were even messier than I am! It made me realize how lazy I was. I was a bit messy because my mom would always clean up after me. Plus she always cleaned up the house so I never had to worry about germs, cleanliness, etc. After living with people that I had to pick up after, I now understand what my mom went through with me. MeAhnHayYo UhmMa (Konglish for those who don't understand)!
It got so bad, that I ended up not caring anymore. I gave up! If no one is going to help me clean up, then I might as well not bother. So the place got messier and messier, and the garbage kept growing larger and larger, and... Well, it wasn't a very sanitary place to live in.
Add to the fact that I didn't even bother sleeping in one of the rooms, and I couldn't feel like I'm living at home. I refused to sleep in the room with two other guys as they kept the room too messy for me to barely share any space for my stuff! So I ended up sleeping in the living room. I felt bad about it as the other guys would be playing video games or is online, and I would kick them out because I needed to go to sleep. Suffice to say, it got stressful after awhile.
By the way, one of the roommates paid to have his own room. He tried to share a room when he first moved in, but he couldn't handle it either and just stayed in his room the entire time he was home.
Hmm... the mood in this post is not so good. But I did go through a rough time there. It wasn't just the living situation that got to me, but my car got stolen. Boy was I depressed back then! And my next post is going to be all about the situation over my car. *SIGH* Be prepared for another depressing post. With some good news in there though ;-).
God bless!
